Yanagase Gallery is an art gallery mainly dealing in oil paintings made from the modern era to the contemporary era by Japanese painters. We started an art dealing business in 1919 (Taisho 8). Since we established a limited-liability company in 1970 (Showa 45), we have concentrated on our art gallery activities. We are also working on social contribution activities, such as town revitalization of Yanagase shopping arcade and Gifu city. We mainly manage works of deceased great painters, such as Morikazu Kumagai, Yasuo Kazuki, Leonard Tsuguharu Fujita, and Kazumasa Nakagawa. Especially, the works of Morikazu Kumagai, such as oil paintings (more than 240 pieces), ink wash paintings, calligraphies, lithographs and more, are our main collection since Saneatsu Mushanokoji introduced Kumagai to our predecessor. With other art collector of Kumagai, we still pursue his excellent works.
