Sho +1, previously activated as Galerie Sho Contemporary Art was originally founded in 1984 at Nihonbashi, Tokyo to mainly introduce the works by Western contemporary artists. Especially, we have maintained an expertise in the works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and responded to various needs of international collectors. Moreover, we executed numerous collaboration projects in the field of contemporary photography with Helmut Newton and other reputable photographers in the world by releasing immense numbers of fine art prints. After establishing Sho + 1 in 2018 we have been introducing Philip Colbert from London, Dongi Lee from Seoul, Jonathan Seliger and Rodney Alan Greenblat from New York, Clara Desire from La Rochelle, France and others as our primary artists who could be expected to be active in the field of pop art. At the same time we launch into promoting Japanese talents in order to consider their global developments.
