Founded in 2018, SARAI Gallery (SARADIPOUR) – Sarai denotes house or palace in Persian - is a contemporary gallery specializing in Middle Eastern art that serves as a platform to showcase emerging and established artists internationally through shows, collaborations, projects, and publications. Our mission is to be the voice that comes from the inside, building bridges from the core of Middle Eastern art to audiences worldwide. To pursue its visions, SARAI has introduced Khor Art Initiative, an annual art prize for local talents reviewed by a high-profile international jury since 2020. Moreover, SARAI has defined Pasitigris Projects, a program focusing on artists coming from southern cultures. SARAI Gallery has been listed on Art Dubai 20-21, The Armory Show 2021-22 (winning the Presents Booth Prize in the 2021 edition), KIAF 2021-22 (as the sole representative of Middle Eastern galleries), and Untitled 2022 among others, making us one of the youngest galleries to appear on these platforms. SARAI Gallery is located in Mahshahr, southern Iran, where we host shows throughout the year. Furthermore, under Karavan Projects, our gallery organizes collaborative shows with selected galleries and institutions at home in Tehran as well as major art capitals across the globe such as London. Our LA-based office handles the US and international affairs.
