Galerie Nichido is the first gallery specialized in the Western-style oil painting in Japan founded in 1928. As a pioneer taking an essential part in popularization of the European art in the country, the gallery runs on an extensive scale handling a wide range of works from the French Impressionism to contemporary art, and concurrently holding a large assortment of works by Japanese masters and emerging artists.
