Gallery Kochukyo became independent in 1987 as the modern and contemporary division of Kochukyo, which handles Oriental works of Art, and has its own shop on the second floor of the Hakuya-cho Building (designed by HIROTA Yutaka) in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
Our belief is that
1. We plan and study high-quality craft techniques that will be passed down to the next generation by utilizing the sensibility cultivated in antiquities.
2. Meet "Creator" who have excellent humanity and great potential, and build relationships of mutual trust through natural and strict relationships.
3. To contribute to the history of art by reconstructing the original, plain, and universally persuasive coordinates of modern industrial arts.
Based on these three pillars, we would like to express the shape of our gallery through our unique philosophy, belief, and perspective.
We will continue to propose new possibilities and fresh charms of modern industrial arts.
