Founded in 1996 in Ginza 8-chome, one of Tokyo's foremost commercial districts, Takeda Art Co. has developed a wide-ranging program, from antique ceramics and classical paintings to significant works by leading figures of Japanese contemporary art.
Since its establishment, the gallery has earned the trust of distinguished collectors, museum professionals, auctioneers, and other art market specialists. With its careful selection of works and longstanding presence in Ginza, Takeda Art Co. has built a reputation grounded in connoisseurship and a deep understanding of the secondary market.
The gallery relocated to Ginza 7-chome in 2010, where it continued its activities for approximately sixteen years. While maintaining a strong focus on major Japanese contemporary artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara, it also expanded its scope through special exhibitions, including photography presentations and group shows featuring emerging artists.
In spring 2026, Takeda Art Co. opened a new chapter with its move to a new address in Ginza 8-chome, returning to the district where the gallery first began. The expanded exhibition space allows larger works to be presented with ease, creating an environment where each work can be experienced with clarity, presence, and a generous sense of space.
Looking ahead, Takeda Art Co. will continue to present exhibitions that transcend distinctions of period, medium, or genre, with a continued commitment to the quality, vitality, and freshness of each work.
We warmly welcome visitors to experience our new gallery space.
