AKIO NAGASAWA Gallery | Publishing is dedicated to introducing Japanese postwar artists to the world through exhibitions and publications of their works.
We are active in three spaces, Ginza, Aoyama, and Toranomon, and our program takes into account the location of each and the demographics of the people who gather there. In the fashionable Aoyama district, we focus on edgy young artists from Japan and abroad, while in the office district of Toranomon, we mainly introduce artists whose style appeals to an audience that is not usually exposed to art. In addition to organizing exhibitions, we also put as much effort into publishing collections of works as we do into organizing exhibitions. We believe that the best way to appreciate art is to confront the actual work. However, you have to be there at the time and place of the exhibition to see it. On the other hand, in the form of a book, you can view it anytime, anywhere, as long as you have it in your possession.
We will continue to introduce excellent Japanese artists to the world through both exhibitions and publications.
