Established in 2021, MtK Contemporary Art is located in the heart of Kyoto’s vibrant cultural district, Okazaki, home to major institutions such as the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art and the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto.
This area has been designated as a scenic preservation zone and is situated in a serene, nature-rich environment.
In addition to featuring a Japanese garden that retains a sense of historical charm, the 97.2-square-meter exhibition space with its boat-shaped ceiling and Kurama stone flooring offers a soft and warm atmosphere.
Approximately eight exhibitions are held annually, showcasing works by a wide range of artists, from emerging talents to established.
