Contemporary art gallery established in 1986, with 6-8 exhibitions per year.
In 2024, a new representative (Ryoaki Onishi) will assume the position, and the Tokyo space will be renewed, while BASEGALLERY HAKATA (Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City) will be newly established as a space in western Japan. Since the gallery's opening, it has been dealing with works with a mature, quiet, and taciturn taste that is distinctly different from the art trend.
Major artists include Katsuhito Nishikawa, Nobuyuki Takahashi, and Rikuji Makabe. The gallery has exhibited at art fairs such as this AFT from the first year to 2010, FIAC (Paris), ART COLOGNE (Cologne), ARCO (Madrid), ARTEFIERA (Bologna), Paris Photo (Paris), and EXPO Chicago (Chicago)..
The gallery has a publishing division (Gram Books) and has published a number of art-related books, including the Shinro Ohtake “Zen-kei” catalogue and “Anarchism of the Body” (KurodaraijI).
