We have dealt in Noh artifacts such as Noh masks, musical instruments, Noh costumes since 1923. The first owner was instructor of Noh. Additionally, from the time of foundation, he was specialized in pottery of this region, Old Tamba, armors and Makie furnishings. His collection and research activities on Old Tamba made a contribution to increase artistic value of this pottery. In 1969, his final year, he established a private museum “Old Tamba Pottery Museum”. His son, the second owner laid his eyes especially on Noh artifacts and set up a private museum “Museum of Noh Artifacts” in 1976.
In addition, in 1997, he opened “Kochuan” Osaka branch with the passion to disseminate his field of specialty to the world. Today, Kaoru Nakanishi, the third CEO and Ryo Nakanishi, the future fourth, also specialize in ceramics of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan “Rokkoyo”, Noh artifacts, armors, Makie lacquerware artworks and Japanese contemporary craft arts.
