biscuit gallery is a commercial gallery that opened in March, 2021 in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The gallery occupies a single building on Shoto Bunkamura Street, and consists of three floors. It is the first art museum or gallery in Japan to introduce a new generation lighting system, and is designed to accommodate a variety of exhibition methods, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, video, and installation. The exhibition floor, which covers a total of over 100 square meters, is a multi-purpose space and has hosted simultaneous solo exhibitions, talk events by artists and critics, and roundtable discussions by art collectors. Other facilities in the building include a storage room and a place for artists to stay and work, thus supporting the activities of young artists. In July 2023, we opened our second gallery space, biscuit gallery karuizawa, in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
