Imura art gallery first opened its door in Kyoto, Japan in 1990 as the contemporary art space in the city.
For over thirty years, our art gallery has gained reputation as a contemporary art gallery by presenting and exhibiting some of the most interesting and exciting contemporary art works both on theinternational and national stage.
We have introduced some young and emerging artists on the scene such as, Aya Kawato and Takashi Hinoda and also some experienced artists such as, Sadaharu Horio, Shiro Tsujimura and Masanori Umeda.
Some of the artists we represent have also been very active in a global art scene. In 2019,Takashi Hinoda attended to the group show held at Newcastle Art Gallery, Australia and Aya Kawato held a solo exhibition in Paris in 2020. As a recent event, Shiro Tsujimura held a solo show in Antwerp, Belgium and Masanori Umeda exhibited his latest works in Hong Kong this year.
In marketing perspective, our distinctive focus and innovative exhibition programs have been attracting a variety of Japanese and international collectors. With considerable expertise and experience in contemporary art, our gallery has built a trust and close relationship with superior customers and investors who have interest in works of art.
Being in Kyoto, the centre place for local, national and international collectors, our network and reputation are continuing to expand, and we are attracting a wider variety of national and international people.
