Galerie Taménaga was founded in 1969 in Tokyo as the first art gallery specialising Impressionist to contemporary art in Japan. Two years later, Paris and Osaka gallery were opened, and Galerie Taménaga Kyoto was launched in 2021 on the same day that we opened our Paris gallery celebrating its 50th anniversary. Now each of our galleries showcases works by artists from all over the world, not just Europe. In recent years, there have been increasing opportunities to introduce Japanese artists, and the gallery plays a major role in the domestic and international art industry.
